Michael "Mike" Senkbeil Obituary

We come together today to celebrate the life of Michael "Mike" Senkbeil, a man whose kindness and friendly spirit touched the lives of many. Born on November 17, 1965, in Sylvester, Georgia, Mike's journey through life was one marked by joy, compassion, and an unwavering sense of community. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing on December 21, 2023, at his residence in Cusseta, Alabama.

Mike was a beacon of light to his family, including his beloved fiancée, Suellen Thomas; his devoted mother, Margie Shepperd; his cherished children, Ian and Beau Senkbeil, and Cameron and Courtney Thomas; and his brother, Eddie Senkbeil, along with his wife, Linda. Each family member was a testament to the love and care that Mike so freely gave.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Gene Senkbeil and his stepfather, Charles Shepperd.

An avid enthusiast of the skies, Mike found solace and excitement in building and flying R/C airplanes. His hands were skilled, and his eyes always looked upward, dreaming of the next flight. On the ground, he found equal joy in simpler pleasures, such as cutting grass and fishing. These activities were not just hobbies for Mike; they were extensions of his character, reflecting his appreciation for nature and the outdoors.

Mike's reputation as a man who never met a stranger was well-earned. He had the uncanny ability to connect with people from all walks of life, making friends in every corner of the community. His presence was a comfort to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Perhaps one of Mike's most admirable qualities was his readiness to lend a helping hand. He believed in the power of community and the importance of supporting one another. His actions often spoke louder than words, and he left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he helped.

As we bid farewell to Michael "Mike" Senkbeil, we remember a man whose life was a testament to kindness, friendship, and thoughtfulness. His legacy will continue to inspire and influence everyone who had the honor of crossing paths with him. Mike's story may have reached its conclusion, but the chapters he wrote in the lives of others will be read and cherished for generations to come.
