Gina Sue Knight




Gina Sue Bailey Knight, aged 67, of Lanett, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024. Born on February 16, 1957, in Lafayette, Alabama, Gina lived a life full of love, compassion, and dedication to her family and friends.

Gina was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Harold Knight. She was the cherished mother of Daniel Rackow and the adored grandmother of Alexander Rackow and Madeline Evarly Rosa Rackow. Gina is also survived by her dear sisters, Martha “Gibby” Brown and Lynn Bailey Fuller. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lucius and Martha “Margie” Bailey, and her brothers, Larry and Barry Bailey.

Known for her selflessness and caring nature, Gina was a wonderful woman who spent her life ensuring the happiness of others. Her family was the center of her world, and she was especially proud of her role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren brought immense joy to her life, and she was truly the best grandmother they could have asked for.

Gina's hobbies included crafting and sewing, where her creativity and skill were evident in every project. She had a deep love for nature and found peace at the beach, with the ocean being her favorite place. She was an avid fan of Jimmy Buffett and enjoyed island-themed music that matched her sunny disposition.

A passionate animal lover, Gina was a rescuer and caregiver of many cats and dogs throughout her life. In her memory, donations can be made to local animal shelters and humane societies, reflecting her lifelong commitment to the well-being of animals.
