Zac Ewbank Obituary

Zac Ewbank, a cherished soul whose kindness touched many lives, passed away peacefully in his birthplace of Montgomery, Alabama, on July 28th, 2024. Born on December 23rd, 1986, Zac's journey was one defined by love, steadfast dedication, and an infectious zeal for life that inspired everyone around him.

Zac's zest for life and relentless love for his family were evident in everything he did. A devoted father, he leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in his daughters, Marley and Skylin Ewbank. He was the world to them, as they were to him, and his role as a father was one he held with the highest esteem—often referred to as the best dad that ever existed. He is also survived by his father Rob Ewbank, his loving momma Janet Harmon, his brothers Matt Ledbetter, Jonathan Wagner, Levi Harmon, Brian Stewart, and his sisters Nikki Watkins and Dana Richardson. His grandmother Jeanette Baker, alongside uncles Raymond Ewbank, Ryan Ewbank, Jody Carr, his aunt, Gloria Solomon, his adoring nieces Fallon, Kenna, Athena, and nephews Urijah, Gunner, Kobe, and Rome will all carry fond memories of Zac's generous heart. He also leaves behind cherished loved ones Kaiden and Bristol, and a lifelong bond with his friend Jared Carter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy Carr Wagner; grandmothers, Mary “GG” Carr and Judy Ewbank; and grandfather, Raymond Ewbank.

Known for his strong work ethic and his vibrant passion for life, Zac's interests were as diverse as his love for his family. An ardent Auburn fan, Zac found joy in the simple pleasures of life—from the bold statements of tattoos to the beauty of music. His talents extended to playing the guitar and piano, sharing his love for melody with all who knew him. He also had a heart the size of Texas and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson.

Zac's enduring legacy will be defined by the words that best describe him: loving, kind, and friendly. As we reflect on his life, we acknowledge a man who was genuinely dedicated to spreading joy, fostering connections, and embracing the people and things he loved with open arms. Zac Ewbank's spirit will continue to resonate within the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him—a true testament to the remarkable man he was.

A Celebration of Life service for Zac will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, at Veasey Creek Park in West Point, Georgia at 5:00 PM (EDT).
